Two generations

One house, four generations, one story.

Long before it became a Provençal restaurant, La Bonne Nuit was already a place where people stopped by, gathered, and looked out for one another.

In the early 19th century, this charming building nestled in the heart of Provence welcomed passing travelers. Originally an inn, it gradually became a place of rest and convalescence, opening its doors to sick people seeking peace and quiet.

During World War I, between 1914 and 1918, the building once again changed its purpose and provided shelter for wounded and convalescing soldiers who came here to find rest and comfort

1921 - A Story Begins

In 1921, in the aftermath of World War I, Louis Delmas opened a small family-run inn in the heart of Provence. Driven by a passion for sharing and traditional cuisine, he welcomed travelers and locals alike with simple dishes prepared using local ingredients.

Over the years, this restaurant has become a true gathering place where people come as much for the quality of the cuisine as for the warm welcome. From one generation to the next, the same commitment has been passed down: to highlight the region’s unique character, use local ingredients, and offer every guest a warm and welcoming experience.

2024 - The Fourth Generation

More than a century after the family restaurant first opened, the fourth generation is taking over.

At the helm of this new chapter, Chef Louis Delmas and his sister Marion Delmas have chosen to carry on the family legacy together.

In the kitchen, Louis reinterprets Provençal flavors through a cuisine that is generous, contemporary, and deeply respectful of the ingredients. In the dining room, Marion, the maître d’hôtel, carries on the art of hospitality and the warm welcome that has defined the restaurant since its inception.

Today, the brother and sister are writing a new chapter in the story of La Bonne Nuit, with a commitment to moving the business forward and showcasing the producers and the local terroir that surround them—all while never forgetting those who built it before them.

Because here, hospitality isn't just a job. It's been a family tradition for four generations.

La Bonne Nuit is a fictional restaurant created as part of a training project and an exam. 

The story, characters, dates, and events associated with the institution were created exclusively for this project.
