The Delmas Family

Two Generations, One Story

One house, four generations, one story.

Long before it became a Provençal restaurant, La Bonne Nuit was already a place where people stopped by, gathered, and looked out for one another.

In the early 19th century, this charming building nestled in the heart of Provence welcomed passing travelers. Originally an inn, it gradually became a place of rest and convalescence, opening its doors to sick people who came here in search of peace and quiet.

During World War I, between 1914 and 1918, the building once again changed its purpose and provided shelter for wounded and convalescing soldiers who came here to find rest and comfort

1921 - A Story Begins

In 1921, in the aftermath of World War I, Louis Delmas opened a small family-run inn in the heart of Provence. Driven by a passion for sharing and traditional cuisine, he welcomed travelers and locals alike with simple dishes prepared using local ingredients.

Over the years, this restaurant has become a true gathering place where people come as much for the quality of the cuisine as for the warm welcome. From one generation to the next, the same commitment has been passed down: to showcase the region, use local ingredients, and offer every guest a warm and welcoming experience.

2024 - The Fourth Generation

More than a century after the family restaurant first opened, the fourth generation is taking up the torch.

La Bonne Nuit is a fictional restaurant created as part of a training project and an exam.

The story, characters, dates, and events associated with the institution were created exclusively for this project.

Chef's Signature ⭐

Each of our Chef’s creations reflects an authentic culinary style, inspired by the richness of Provence and the rhythm of the seasons. We prioritize fresh ingredients sourced from local producers who share our values: respect for the land, quality, and artisanal craftsmanship.

From vegetables harvested just a few kilometers from the restaurant to carefully selected meats, along with aromatic herbs, olive oil, and truffles from our region, each ingredient is chosen with the utmost care to bring out its full authenticity on the plate.

Our Tournedos Rossini perfectly embodies this philosophy: generous, refined cuisine, where each element naturally finds its place to offer a gourmet experience that is elegant and deeply rooted in our local terroir

🍷 Our selection of wines

Our wine cellar showcases the finest terroirs of Provence and the Luberon, focusing on estates renowned for their expertise and respect for tradition. Each bottle is carefully selected to offer a perfect balance of character, elegance, and authenticity.

From full-bodied reds to whites with floral notes and delicately fruity rosés, our wine list has been carefully curated to harmoniously complement each of our Chef’s creations. Whether you’re a connoisseur of fine wines or simply curious to discover the riches of our region, our team will be happy to guide you toward the perfect pairing.

At La Bonne Nuit, we believe that a great meal is always best enjoyed with an exceptional wine—one that brings out all the flavors of your dish and extends the pleasure right down to the very last sip.

I think this text has a more “upscale” feel and gives a stronger impression of a genuine wine cellar presentation, while still feeling natural for a semi-gourmet Provençal restaurant.
